About Us
Why we do what we do
Dachshunds have been a lifelong passion of mine. I've had them ever since I was a toddler. They are funny, quirky, stubborn, adorable, and loyal companions. I don't remember a time in my life when I didn't have at least one.
In the last few years I've helped re-home many dachshunds and several friends encouraged me to start a rescue. I lost my sweet Miele, pictured here, right after I started this journey. She was rescued at the age of 12 and I had her for three and a half wonderful years.
So we are now official. I'm not sure how many we can save but if we can help just one dog, it's one less dog in a shelter.

Mission Statement
Just One More Dachshund Rescue’s mission is to work with shelters and individuals to find loving forever homes for dachshunds who have been given up or were found as strays, regardless of their age or medical condition. We also provide necessary medical care as needed. We know we can't save them all but we can certainly make a difference in the lives of the ones we can save.
