Rescue # 45 Mabel is said to be a Jack Russell Dachshund mix who is six years old. Her teeth are beautiful and our vet thinks she may be younger. She has a very arched spine which is due to her hip dysplasia. She is being treated for Lyme disease too.

Jolene is around seven years old and came to us with a severe flea allergy. She has been spayed and had a dental and is ready for her next chapter. She has a bit of an alpha personality but does get along with other dogs. She is the epitome of a velcro dog.
Bonded siblings, around two years old. These girls are double dapples - Tilly is blind and Keller is deaf and has some vision impairment. They must be adopted together and need a fenced yard. Also they should not have access to more than three steps. Both can use a dog door but need help with housebreaking.
Chloe and Quincy are our #109 and #110. They are 2 ½ year old bonded siblings – up to date on vaccines and spayed/neutered. They have an upcoming dental in a couple of weeks and then will be ready for a new home. They are great with little dogs, big dogs, adults, teens, kids, and babies. They are the sweetest!

Rescue #38 - Macy and Gidget came to us after their owner lost her home. Little Macy has some awful teeth and ended up having 16 teeth pulled. While recovering she has scratched her cornea and we will be seeing a specialist in a week. Macy is 15 years old and only weighs about 8 pounds. Her favorite place is in your lap.
Charger is a stunning retired show dog who is around 15-16 years old. He is a sweet old man with no teeth. He loves to eat and sleep. He doesn't do steps - not even really one because of his arthritis. He would love to just cuddle on your lap. He is fine with other dogs.
This ten year old pair was surrendered when one of their owners became ill. They come from a pack of six dogs so are used to having lots of lowriders around. Both are up to date on vaccines, housebroken, can use a dog door, and are honestly the sweetest. They love the big bed and cuddling in your lap.

Basil E. Frankeweiner was found as a stray and no one ever came to claim this boy. He is around two years old and is a gentle guy (though he is not fond of the vet).
Poor WIlla has had a rough puppyhood. She has severe anxiety and takes a very long time to warm up. She has already had four homes in her short little life. We are hoping that #5 is the charm. We think we have found just the right fit for her!
Sophia is a senior pug doxie mix with the custest litter underbite. She recently had a dental and a lipoma removed from her little tush.
She is currently living on the eastern shore of Maryland and accompanies here mom everywhere.
Boo came to us when his owner was hospitalized. The owner didn't know his friends were taking the dog to the shelter. As his owner recovers, we are hoping that maybe one day he will be reunited with Boo. Boo needs a local (southern Maryland) foster who will use our vet and be amenable to visiting Boo's Dad. Boo is a beagle poodle mix and is 15.
He is being fostered locally.
Ella recently had her last litter of puppies and she is looking forward to retirement and enjoying life as a pet. She is five and a half years old and will be getting a dental and a spay. She needs to gain muscle mass in her back to prevent any injuries and she has been adopted by a wonderful couple.

He had a seizure and we learned his calcium levels were way out of whack causing him neurological problems. After some meds and some time, he is doing so much better. He is very vocal and active.
