Mel is 14 and was surrendered with his brother (sadly his brother had cancer and we lost him in October 2024). Mel has vision issues and is an IVDD survivor but he is doing fantastic. He is great with other dogs (but can sometimes startle them because of his vision). He knows how to use the dog door but is not housebroken. He is incredibly sweet and just wants a lap to relax in.
Stevie Wonder is a special needs pup who doesn't know he is special needs. He is vision and hearing impaired but gets around great. No apartments though because when he barks, it is high pitched. Gets along with other dogs and can use a dog door.
Magnus is brand new and we are still getting to know him. He is three years old and does have separation anxiety.
Pippi lost most of her teeth in her recent dental and she is acting like a pup now! Her mammary mass was benign and our vet also repaired a hernia. She is a sweet senior!
Solo is just under five and is bonded with her brother Opie. She is a standard wirehair dachshund and needs an experienced home. Still working on housebreaking. Great with other dogs and can use a dog door. Must be adopted with Opie.
Opie is a standard wirehair dacshund who weighs around 30 pounds. He is bonded and must be adopted with his sister Solo.
Brian is just shy of nine years and is a retired breeder/show dog. He is a lovebug and wants to be with his person. He is good with other dogs and can use a dog door. Dental and neuter in his very near future!
We lost our longest resident, Charlie Brown just shy of his 15th birthday. He was blind and cranky but a sweet boy!
Tootsie is a Jack Russell Terrier who is 13 years old. Her owner passed away and she has found her forever home with her foster mom. Tootsie suffers from seizures but is doing well.
Sir is said to be around 14 and was found as a stray in Mississippi. His finder fell in love and adopted him!
Sadly she only had a few months with him but she gave him a lifetime of love.
Rosco P Coltrane is five years old and came to us heartworm positive and paralyzed. He underwent heartworm treatment and is now a permanent sanctuary pup.
Floyd is our most expensive pup ever. He came to us with a perineal hernia. After his surgery, dental, and neutering, we spent over $8000 on this spunky boy. He was adopted by an elderly couple and is living in southern Maryland.
